Vetoquinol is a pharmaceutical company dedicated to the manufacturing, distribution and marketing of animal health products, we are looking for a Technical Veterinarian for our production animals business unit.

At Vetoquinol, our mission is to listen, understand and respond to the needs of our customers. The Technical Veterinarian ensures technical support for all Vetoquinol production animal products to company personnel and veterinary customers, through timely transfer of information and technical training. He focuses on traveling in the field with Territory Managers (TMs) and Regional Managers (RMs). He also observes Key Account Management principles and engage with TMs and RMs on the business side of the clinics.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

 Customer Inquiries

  • Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external customers in a complete and timely manner, respecting established deadlines and procedures.

Pharmacovigilance

  • Ensure complete and timely management of pharmacovigilance cases in his/her territory.
  • Report case details to the Regulatory Affairs department upon receipt.
  • Perform investigations and follow up cases as required. Close cases upon resolution.

Technical transfer

  • Organize and deliver appropriate technical training sessions on Vetoquinol products for internal customers including Territory Managers, Product Managers, Regional Managers, and customer service personnel.
  • Organize and deliver appropriate technical training sessions involving Vetoquinol products for external customers including veterinarians and producers as required.
  • Provide assistance in the development of communication materials according to marketing plans as required.

Coaching of Territory Managers

  • Assess and foster development of the Territory Managers’ skills and knowledge of the product line.
  • Provide field support in the forms of email, telephone conversations, co-travel and presence at industry events within the territory. This will be done in collaboration with the Regional Manager.

Cooperation with the business unit

  • Participate in key meetings. Collaborate and participate in the development and implementation of commercial business initiatives.

Industry relationships

  • Develop strong relationships, promote and increase the technical Vetoquinol profile with significant customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic and veterinary organizations.

Continuing education

  • Keep up to date on veterinary topics through technical publications, attendance at conferences / formal training, or through interactions with other veterinarians in Canada or around the world.

Job Requirements

PROFILE

  • Doctorate in veterinary medicine (D.M.V.), licenced to practice veterinary medicine in Canada through a Provincial association.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in veterinary practice
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual written and spoken
  • Good competence in animation of professional meetings and communication
